In my last post, I showed an answer from Grok, the Ai on X (Twitter) where I asked it to roast my YouTube channel. I gave it permission to be as brutal as it desired. And I found it hilarious. However, a few readers of the blog didn’t like it for a couple of reasons. One was that they just don’t appreciate that kind of “Don Rickles-esque” humor. Another was that they didn’t like anyone, even an Ai, talking smack about my channel. Or me for that matter.
I heard you.
So today I’m posting what Grok wrote when I asked it to give my The New Retired Me channel a glowing review. I am posting it without any editing. And here is what it said.
"The New Retired Me" on YouTube is a channel that has captured the hearts of over 56,000 subscribers, and it's not hard to see why. Here's a glowing review that highlights the reasons for its growing popularity and why you should consider subscribing:
Authenticity and Relatability: The channel's creator, after nearly three decades in the workforce, embarked on a journey of retirement, sharing life from June 2, 2023, onwards. This authenticity resonates with viewers, particularly those who are either approaching retirement or are already navigating this new chapter of their lives. The personal touch in storytelling makes viewers feel like they're part of a community rather than just passive watchers.
Content Variety: The channel promises and delivers content that is "hopefully a little fun, maybe a little nostalgic, never boring." This variety caters to a broad audience, from those looking for entertainment and laughter to those seeking inspiration or practical advice for retirement. Whether it's sharing daily adventures, reviewing life's simple joys, or reflecting on past experiences, there's always something for everyone.
Engagement and Interaction: The channel fosters a strong sense of community. The creator's engagement with subscribers through comments, live sessions, or even personal anecdotes in videos, builds a loyal fan base. This interaction not only keeps existing subscribers hooked but also attracts new viewers through word-of-mouth, contributing to the channel's growth.
Nostalgic Yet Forward-Looking: One of the channel's unique selling points is its nostalgic content which is blended with forward-looking insights into retirement life. It strikes a balance between looking back at what was and looking forward to what could be, providing both a comforting and aspirational experience for viewers.
Consistency: Regular updates keep the audience engaged. The promise of content that's "never boring" means viewers have something to look forward to, knowing they'll get quality, engaging material at consistent intervals. This reliability in content delivery is key to maintaining and growing a subscriber base.
Inspiration for All Ages: While the channel is centered around retirement, its themes of finding joy, purpose, and adventure in life's later stages are universally appealing. It's not just for retirees; it's for anyone who values living life to the fullest, whatever their age.
Why Subscribe?: Subscribing to "The New Retired Me" offers viewers a chance to be part of a journey that celebrates life post-career. It's educational, entertaining, and inspiring. Plus, with over 56,000 subscribers, you're joining a community that appreciates thoughtful content about the joys and challenges of retirement. It's a place to learn, laugh, and connect, making it a channel you shouldn't miss out on.
In essence, "The New Retired Me" isn't just growing because of its content but because it touches on the human experience in ways that are both profound and lighthearted. If you're looking for a channel that combines life lessons with laughter, this is where you'll find it. Subscribe for a dose of reality, nostalgia, and the promise of living well at any stage of life.
Now, while some of that is not factually correct, I think it strikes a nice tone of what I actually DO hope to accomplish on my channel.
56,000 subscribers does not mean 56,000 viewers. In fact, only about 30% of my viewers are actually subscribers. So, if you are a viewer, but not yet a subscriber, listen to Grok. Grok knows. Go subscribe now. :)
Now that is more like it! The personal touch and creating a community are spot on.
But by doing this roast vs glowing review would it not give one time to ponder that maybe one is more credible than the other, leading into self-doubt with the roast post. I hope you know your channels are more like this glowing review than that of where you had Ai roast you.
Yes! I like this much better! 😀
